Tasting: Xosé Lois Sebio’s Viño de Encostas project focuses on fruit from old vines in vineyards that are farmed organically and biodynamically, often outside of traditional growing areas. Máis Alá is a powerful wine, made from Godello, the nose shows citrus blossom, spices, and minerals, backing a palate of concentration and muscle, but with elegance. It shows ripe stone fruits, grapefruit peel, honeydew melon and a crunchy acid drive.
