Type: MIrish Red Ale

Tasting: Copper tone with ruby hues and a thick and creamy beige foam. The sharp, malty aroma reminds us of hazelnuts and toffee. On the palate, the slightly roasted flavour creates hints of sponge cake, dried fruit and nuts (the malts) and light floral flavours. The aftertaste is bitter, making this an easy beer to drink.

Tasting: The 1906 range was released to celebrate the centenary of the founding of the brewery Hijos de Rivera in La Coruña Galicia. The nose of La Colorada shows distinct caramel character, red apple skin and a hint of toasted brown bread. A delicious silky palate shows pleasing bitterness that balances perfectly against the 8% alcohol, a malty core dominates with herbal spicy notes and a touch of pleasing woodiness.

Tasting: Translated the name of this wine means 790 sins, referring to the 790 days it takes from harvesting to release, each day a sin that this wine can’t be enjoyed yet! Organically and biodynamically grown in Catalunya’s Penedès region, west of Barcelona, Loxarel have been dedicated to sustainable production since their inception. Full bodied with sumptuous flavours of ripe, candied black fruit, raspberries, black plums, all wrapped around a core of soft yet present tannins, and notes of cacao and coffee.
