Tasting: From Sierra de Gredos natural wine maestro Daniel V. Ramos, a self-described ‘Span-Aussie’ (born in Australia to Spanish parents, then grew up in Madrid). The El Berrakin is a delightful, juicy and fun Garnacha. Light bodied with a fragrant nose of cherry blossom and strawberry fruit. Palate of ripe red cherry, aromatic raspberries with grippy tannins, making it a great food wine. Daniel’s vineyards are organically tended, his wines are made with a minimal intervention philosophy, small levels of sulphur used at bottling only, and his wines are also bottled un-fined and unfiltered.
