Tasting: Maturana Blanca is a heritage variety in Rioja, only grown in small amounts, but making a comeback. Barrel fermented with time on lees. Powerful, full bodied white wine with a big personality. Aromas of cooked lemon and red apple. Rich and textural. Palate of custard apple, ripe yellow peach, subtle pastry and dairy notes. Long and complex finish.
