Tasting: From the famous steep canyon-side vineyards in Ribeira Sacra, along the rivers Sil and Miño. The main grape variety grown here is Mencía, which makes light to lower medium bodied reds. This brilliant example of Mencia has a little bit more structure to it due to it's time in barrel. Fresh and aromatic on the nose with inky purple blossom and a palate of dusky purple berries, with supporting cassis, blackberries, tar and a deliciously silky mouthfeel.
