The Morell family vineyards consist of nine parcels on the outskirts of Tarragona a mere 2km from the Mediterranean Sea and 20m above sea level.
They are planted on the areas marine fossil rich soil called lumaquel.la. Viticulture is sustainable, yields are very low and fermentations are spontaneous from indigenous yeasts.
The sense of place evoked by a combination of the high levels of sunshine, the influence of the nearby Mediterranean Sea and the unique lumaquel.la soil led to the name Vinyes del Terrer - Vineyards of the Land.
Tasting: Well defined nose of jammy fruit, smoke and dried fruit. Medium-bodied, with a distinct spiciness and mint note on the palate. Elegant and structured, meaty with dark fruit flavours. Displaying good minerality with well integrated tannins and a warm, round finish.
